Identification of mega?environments for grain sorghum in Brazil using GGE biplot methodology

نویسندگان

چکیده

The performance of genotypes in a wide range environments can be affected by extensive genotype × environment (G E) interactions, making the subdivision testing into relatively more homogeneous groups locations (mega-environments) necessary strategy. main effects + interaction biplot method (GGE) allows identification mega-environments and selection stable adapted to specific mega-environments. objectives this study were identify regarding sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] grain yield demonstrate that GGE essential for conducting tests different A total 22 competition trials conducted over three crop seasons across several production Brazil. 25, 22, 30 evaluated during first, second, third seasons, respectively. After identifying presence G E data subjected adaptability stability analyses using method. phenotypic correlation network was used express functional relationships between environments. found an efficient approach Brazil, selecting representative discriminative environments, recommending adaptive genotypes.

Evaluation of Genotype × Environment Interaction for Seed Yield of Sunflower Hybrids using GGE Biplot Method

Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: The sunflower is one of the most important oilseed plants in the world and its oil has nutritional and high economic value. Identification and selection of high-yielding genotypes with desirable characteristics are especially important in this plant. Evaluating sunflower genotypes under different environmental conditions would be useful to identify...

Bayesian GGE biplot models applied to maize multi-environments trials.

The additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) and the genotype main effects and genotype x environment interaction (GGE) models stand out among the linear-bilinear models used in genotype x environment interaction studies. Despite the advantages of their use to describe genotype x environment (AMMI) or genotype and genotype x environment (GGE) interactions, these methods have ...

Evaluation of soybean lines and environmental stratification using the AMMI, GGE biplot, and factor analysis methods.

In the final phases of new soybean cultivar development, lines are cultivated in several locations across multiple seasons with the intention of identifying and selecting superior genotypes for quantitative traits. In this context, this study aimed to study the genotype-by-environment interaction for the trait grain yield (kg/ha), and to evaluate the adaptability and stability of early-cycle so...

Selection of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) genotypes using a genotype plus genotype x environment interaction biplot.

Recently, the genotype plus genotype x environment interaction (GGE) biplot methodology has been used to investigate genotype x environment interactions in several crop species, but has not been applied to the common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) crop in Brazil. The aim of this study was to identify common bean genotypes that exhibit high grain yield and stability in the State of Mato Grosso do ...

Genetic Variability, Genotype × Environment Interaction, Correlation, and GGE Biplot Analysis for Grain Iron and Zinc Concentration and Other Agronomic Traits in RIL Population of Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench)

The low grain iron and zinc densities are well documented problems in food crops, affecting crop nutritional quality especially in cereals. Sorghum is a major source of energy and micronutrients for majority of population in Africa and central India. Understanding genetic variation, genotype × environment interaction and association between these traits is critical for development of improved c...
